Manlius Homeschool Enrichment

Your Partner in Faith & Learning:
K–6th Homeschool Enrichment

We are a values-driven Christian homeschool enrichment program for school-aged children (K–6th). Backed by the trusted 30-year ministry of Playschool Preschool, a ministry of First Baptist Manlius, we bridge nurturing care with intentional instructor-led academic support in Language Arts and Math.

Our Mission, Vision, and Model

Our Mission

To partner with homeschooling families in cultivating curiosity, academic confidence, and Christ-centered character. Through intentional group learning in Math, ELA, and social skills, we provide a welcoming community that supports your family and inspires a lifelong love for learning.

Our Vision

We envision a warm, welcoming environment filled with children who are anchored in their identity in Christ. Every child is intentionally created by God with a unique purpose, and we are here to help them discover and grow in that design. Through dynamic, hands-on learning, our students socialize, collaborate, and learn from one another and their instructor—building a community rooted in faith, discovery, and mutual support.

Our Model

Manlius Homeschool Enrichment operates as a Private Ministerial Association (PMA) of First Baptist Manlius. To keep our fees affordable, rather than traditional tuition, we feature an innovative sliding-scale membership. As our classes fill and community grows, the operational cost is shared—meaning as enrollment increases, your fee drops.

Why Choose M.H.E.?

Identity First

Anchoring children in their identity in Christ is the foundation for everything we do. We believe that when learners know they are intentionally designed, uniquely gifted, and deeply loved by God, they develop the inner confidence to succeed academically and grow personally.

Program Highlights

To preserve close mentorship, our classes are strictly capped at 8 learners. We offer individualized attention across four distinct learning groups: our signature Kindergarten “Playschool Plus” class, plus combined groups for 1st-2nd, 3rd-4th, and 5th-6th grades.

Family Oriented

As the day wraps up, our community connection continues! At the end of every program day, we transition into our Volunteer-Led Family Block. From 1:15 to 2:00 PM, parents take turns hosting engaging, collaborative activities for the kids. It is the perfect way to wind down the day, featuring everything from free play and crafts to sharing special hobbies with the children.

Membership Fee

Our 2026–2027 monthly membership fees operate on a shared sliding scale tied directly to class size, ranging from $420 for 5 learners down to a base rate of $360 when a group reaches its maximum 8-learner cap. Because operational costs are shared across the room, we highly encourage families to invite friends to join our community, as every new enrollment directly lowers the monthly rate for all families in that group.
To ensure a viable, high-quality instructional experience, each learning group requires a minimum of 5 students to launch and maintain operations.

Meet the Director

Welcome to our new Manlius Homeschool Enrichment program! I’m honored to lead this expansion as Director, bringing my experience as a Pre-K–6th grade certified teacher and a Master’s in Education Administration to our growing community. When I’m not at school, I’m raising my children, ages 8, 10, and 18, on our family farm alongside my husband, Peter. Having seen my own children thrive in our preschool program, I am thrilled to extend our mission into the school-aged years.

I deeply believe God wants to see our classrooms full of children learning together in a supportive group, with Jesus at the heart of all they learn. By blending strong academic engagement with this faith-centered environment, we prepare school-aged students to be lifelong learners who are secure in their identity as beloved children of God. I look forward with joy to seeing this beautiful expansion come to life as God leads our community forward.

Daily Schedule & Flexible Options

Our program offers an intentional blend of academic instruction in English Language Arts (ELA) and Math, community building, and well-planned days with built-in play and appropriate unstructured time for children at each age level. For most students, our core schedule runs Tuesday through Thursday. Each day breaks down into two main parts: our core instructional day from 9:15 AM to 1:15 PM, followed by our student-optional, parent-led volunteer block from 1:15 to 2:00 PM.

Sample Daily Schedule

9:15 AM | Morning Connection
Group games focused on building relationships and a welcoming community.
9:30 AM | Math Block
Intentional Mini-Lesson: Focused instruction on core concepts.
Skill-Building Centers: Hands-on learning tools and independent practice.
Guided Math Groups: Intimate small groups for teachers to target specific student needs.
10:45 AM | Recess
Active movement and play on our fenced playground or in our indoor gym.
11:15 AM | English Language Arts (ELA) Block
Intentional Mini-Lesson: Targeted reading, phonics, or writing strategies.
Instructional Practice Centers: Applied language and literacy stations.
Guided Reading: Small, teacher-led reading groups tailored to student levels.
12:30 PM | Community Lunch
Instructor-supervised lunch focused on practicing friendship habits.
1:00 PM | Day’s Reflection & Closing
A brief closing circle to reflect on our daily growth and look at where God was at work through our experiences and interactions.
1:15 PM | The Family Block
The final block of our day is a community-driven gym and physical recreation time. Families have full access to our full-sized indoor gym to coordinate active sports, games, and cooperative play, overseen by our rotating schedule of volunteer parents. Participation is optional for students; however, a parent or guardian is required to volunteer in the rotation.

Learning Groups

Playschool Plus: Our standalone kindergarten eligible class.

School Aged Pairings: Multi-age cohorts for 1st/2nd, 3rd/4th, and 5th/6th grades.

Capped at 8 Students: Our enrollment limit ensure instructors have the time to deliver individualized instruction, personal attentiveness, and small-group learning tailored to each child’s developmental stage.

Our Playschool Plus group is capped at 10 learners.

Playschool Plus

Playschool Plus is our signature playschool class, designed specifically for children who are kindergarten-eligible (turning 5 by December 1st). This unique program serves both homeschool families and public-school-track families seeking a structured gap year.
Our intentional morning schedule runs from 9:15 AM to 12:15 PM, keeping your afternoons completely open for family time. Children can attend an optional extended day until 1:15 (Or 2 PM if staying for the Family Block) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
To maintain a simple structure, we offer flat-rate pricing rather than a sliding scale model:
3-Day Schedule (Tue–Thu): $340
5-Day Schedule (Mon–Fri): $440
All-Inclusive Value: Both options fully include our academic blocks, small-group instructional centers, and plenty of built-in time for active, unstructured play. Tuition also covers the research-backed Bluebird Music Together program, which uses music and movement to naturally boost early cognitive and literacy development.
The class is capped at 10 learners.
